Chapman eventually discovered a remote village. Filled with people, she introduced herself with the hopes that she’d potentially be accepted back into somewhat of a normal lifestyle. Upon making her presence known, a man aimed the throat-slashing sign at her — which forced her immediate departure back into the jungle. Chapman began to routinely come across hunters in the jungle. Possessing guns and machetes, they’d routinely attempt to capture monkeys for financial gain. This further enraged the young girl — though she ultimately would be lured in by the simple sight of a female figure.
