Lost Young Girl Survives Colombian Jungle, Now Resides In England

Eusse helped in rehabilitating Chapman. She took her into her home — where she aided in providing a stable parental figure. Eusse also gave the then-teenager the name of Luz Marina. Since Chapman was a young girl at the time of her abduction, she had not known the name given to her at birth. Eusse baptized Chapman, and she officially became a part of her family. As a means to help Chapman escape the seedy distractions of Cúcuta, Eusse sent her to live with her daughter in Bogotá. After ten years in Colombia’s largest city, Chapman immigrated with the Eusse family to the United Kingdom.
