The monkey held Chapman’s head tightly under the surface in order to make her consume some of the water. Once he pulled her head back up, she then proceeded to vomit the bad fruit up. Grandpa truly had saved Chapman’s life. From this point on, Chapman believed that Grandpa was her true protector in this confusing — yet exhilarating world.
